Product Information
Join the wildly popular world of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger through the magic of PlayStation. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for Sony PlayStation 2, 2004, will transport the player into a world filled with dragons, Dementors, and wizardry. Based on the series of books by J.K. Rowling, the game is set against the backdrop of Hogwarts, the school for young wizards. Harry Potter, played by Daniel Radcliffe in the film version, is growing up in this third episode of the video game. This adventurous game features the third book by Rowling, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, as the scenery for this multi-level PS2 experience. Harry and his best friends, Ron and Hermione, must discover the secret of how Sirius Black was able to escape from the wizards’ prison, Azkaban. Solving the mysterious secret will not be an easy task, and supernatural opponents will stand in their way. Harry, Ron, and Hermione will need to combine their skills and forge a spell in order to move on to the next level of the game. The player is always challenged to complete various quests within the main section of the game in order to move forward, such as the encounter at the Shrieking Shack. Both the book and the Warner Bros. film version of Rowlings’ novel are accurately represented in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban PlayStation 2. Harry and the young wizards pit their skill against magical beasts and dark opponents as they maneuver through the game. Characters such as Remus Lupin assist the three; Lupin, the Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, helps guide Harry and his friends through the maze of dangers that await them. The player will have the ability to watch and play mini-games within the main framework of the playing area. Both the books and video games feature Hogwarts as the setting for many of the escapades of Harry and his friends as they navigate the levels of the game. The great lake of Hogwarts is the location for the final battle. Harry and his companions must act as cheats as they bypass one danger after another in every level of the game. In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban video game, spell after spell is cast and peril after peril is avoided as the player moves toward the ultimate battle in the final level. Harry and his partners must solve mysteries, such as the Marauder’s Map, in order to win the game. Two-player challenges are offered in the game as well as sub-games for Harry and team: Dueling Club and Flying Seahorse Fishing. Dilemmas, such as where to find the store belonging to Fred and George, offer extra challenges to Harry in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Working together, combining their skills, and facing amazing obstacles, Harry, Ron, and Hermione test the skill of the player each step of the way. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban will provide a demanding yet enjoyable gaming experience for every player.
