Your performance in each mission is ranked based on how well you do in combat, how much time it takes you to complete the mission, and how many orbs you collect. You can check coffins and other hidden places to find additional orbs and improve your scores. You can access special combat attacks throughout DMC by using the “Devil Trigger,” which temporarily turns Dante into a demon. Although the game is a hack-and-slash action thriller, it incorporates other elements. You must solve puzzles and challenges throughout this DMC game, and there are exploration and platforming elements interspersed throughout the story. Side quests can make the game more interesting, especially if you have already played through the game. Cutscene videos help advance the story and feature stunning anime-style animation. Although the gameplay leans toward the more challenging side of the spectrum, you can play in modes ranging from easy to Dante Must Die. Devil May Cry does not require any accessories.
